  Traveling one Sunday afternoon early this month, we located this parish to attend mass. Before the service, the parishioners seemed friendly and inviting.
  
  Shortly after the start of the service, our 16 month old son started making some noise and my wife took him out. During the sermon, Ft Adrian discussed his views of science, mentioning Darwin, the Big Bang Theory, the invention of the microscope and DNA. His tone grew hostile toward many people who contribute to science, who he labeled atheists, agnostics and liberals (the “hallelujah” moment of the sermon, when many heads nodded in approval). The sermon felt like an opinion piece on Fox News instead of an effort to provide spiritual guidance or Biblical education based on Catholic/Christian doctrine.
  
  Pro-life subjects were mentioned several times during the announcements and sermon, however no cry room was available and the nursery was locked. My pregnant wife tried tirelessly to keep our toddler occupied during mass in the narthex. She tried holding him up through a glass window to view the service. He kicked the glass window for a few seconds, after which an usher admonished her. This really upset her as she was trying her hardest to keep him calm. Immediately following the sermon, I left the sanctuary to find my pregnant wife and toddler alone in a back hallway.
